i have a problem with the retrofit of a MFSW in my 2007 E81. I replaced the steering wheel and also the ring because my old ring didn't have the connector.
Had the car coded last week but still no function to the steering wheel buttons. Took the wheel of again and checked everything and everything was connected correctly.
At one moment i noticed that the lightening didn't work in the steering wheel, e.g. the soft orange glow of buttons is missing.
Then i was thinking that the steering wheel was not getting power so i dove into the glove compartment to check the fuses.
In the fuse diagram steering wheel has fuses 45, 69 and the radio has fuses: 08, 11, 13, 18, 23, 31, 34, 60 and 83.
But when i check the fuses fuse 08, 13, 23, 31, 34, 45 and 83 are missing ! The other fuses still are OK so the problem is not in those fuses.
So could the problem be caused by the missing fuses and if so, which fuse(s) need to be placed ?
