I’ve looked at few threads regarding using m4 brakes pads for the m135i/m140i. I understand they are interchangeable and Textar manufacture the pads.

BMW has quoted me £143 for the m4 front standard pads.

Auto doc sells the Textar front pads for 60 pounds.

Both BMW and Textar pads are GF rated.

My question is will there be any difference between too?

I ended up buying the ATE GG rated pads.

I could not find them at first as I thought they were for the m4 but as soon as I changed to m135i they appeared.

Thank you.

Installed my ATE GG rated front brake pads.
I can confirm there are much better than stock.

I felt with the stock pads when you pressed the brake pedal lightly nothing happened then when you applied a little more pressure the brake will kick in. With the new pads I feel the car starting to brake as a soon as I press the brake pedal.

I hope there is also less brake dust compared to stock.
