Test driving a 2013 GT-R today , if it blows me away I'll be putting a deposit down on it . I absolutely adore my new 135 but the GT-R is just a scratch I think I need to itch !

Anyone on here have any experience with these beasts ? How do they compare to the little 135/235's ???

Ps - if I do buy , watch out for my for sale thread on all my virtually brand new kit - BMS intake , Jb4 with connect (new-not fitted !) , BBS CHR's - 18" (covered less than 300 miles) , MPE (although Ajay gets first refusal) and Wagner decat !

Amazes me how quick some people change their cars! However..YOLO! And sometimes it all comes down to timing. I guess for you, it'll be "better now than later" to suffer less depreciation. I think GTR is a go! Do it :D

Then come to a meet so we can all oggle at it (Northern Romp). If its a daily for a long commute - perhaps a bit too much. But short commutes or weekend car, totally worth it.

If you get it how much do you want for the wheels?

Why on earth did you not drive one before the M135i?!?!?

Quite simple really , my finances improved drastically over the last month or so

I'm thinking £990 for the wheels . Perfect condition too !

Fair play to you. It's an epic machine, I'm always excited when I see one but don't think I could imagine owning one.
I've had my eyes on a set of lesser spoked alloys for a while now, at just £530. I do love the CH-Rs though. I'm hoping once the car is ready for summer I can stop the spending, this arrived today


And there I was promising the girlfriend I'd save while I was away...

Haha, that's quite a change! Just don't expect many thrills at legal speeds :eek2:
I think you'll be taken in buy how planted if feels, plus the stupid levels of power :)
These things keep some owners happy, but bore others quickly.

I think I'd want a slightly modded one, so both of the above were dialled up to 11, for the maximum GRT YOLO LOL experience, then sell in quite a short time.

If you do get one, make sure you don't wrap it and get a private plate like 'Mu55 LLE' or B15 CEP' or you'll find yourself being the actual stereotypical owner :redface: :wink: :wink:

The only negative with the gtr is service repair costs they seem steep

I got taken out in a GTR recently albeit one running 750 BHP. It was total violence! I'm not kidding but it is twice as fast as the M135i. It's a time bending machine! I have never felt my internal organs move around like that and to be honest I felt a little car sick when I got out.

Brilliant . That post made me smile :)

Must have been stage 4.5 with that power , turbo back exhaust , injectors , induction , intercooler and modified turbos . About £10k of work.

Did he demo launch control ?

If you willing to split them il take the jb4 connect kit? Already have jb4.

To be honest I have no idea what modifications he did. What shocked me was on acceleration in the dry every single wheel was fighting for grip and the driver was working hard at the steering wheel to keep it straight. I think if I had a GTR (at one point my life I was very tempted) at the the best I would loose my license, at the worst I think something physically bad would happen. All I say is good luck to anybody who has one and I hope they get it out of their system in the safest possible way. It is an amazing amount of engineering for the price.

Ive never driven a GTR but have driven a 997.2 Turbo S, 991 Turbo, R8 V10 plus (all similar 550+ bhp all wheel drive animals), it will feel like a whole different league I'm sure, unfortunately this brings with it a whole different league of running costs! Ive heard of GTR's going through a set of its £1400 tyres in 8k miles alone, just bare that in mind (I'm sure you have though). Enjoy!
