Hi Guys,

I went in to BMW and they want £280 for front pads....

Has anyone replaced these themselves and got any links for me on where to order?

Thanks, seen some EBC Red stuff pads but not to sure if they definitely fit.

Regards

Yes, always one new genuine sensor from BMW.

Or two if you're doing front and rear brakes together.

George, I assume this also includes "a bit" of labour at £280 ?
Still pricey but maybe they are charging 1 hour at £120 ?

Do people generally stick with standard pads?

Or anyone tried Ferodo, Pagid etc
I've had no performance issues with the standard pads.

I wouldn't mind a lower dust pad though, as long as they performed as well.

Yes, I am surprised how well the std road pad has survived track use. I think the calipers/discs are generous enough to help dissipate enough heat and prevents too early an exit.

EBC pads are the worst I've ever experienced, be it green, red or yellow compound! Plain scary!
I've only ever heard bad reviews from people that track regularly. But good reviews from road users.

I agree the std pads aren't bad at all. Even on blyton park which is short and tight. Good 10-12 laps before any fade.
