Got my MP intake fitted today after picking it up last night from the nice guy selling the sweet 130i.
A doddle to fit so it only took about 20 minutes, including getting my tools together.
I was a bit sceptical on if I'd hear it over the MP exhaust, but I wasn't to be disappointed! You wouldn't know it's fitted until you hit 3k revs, that's when the tone changes and it lets out a bark all the way to the redline
The aural pleasure is even more pronounced with the window dropped a bit.
Suffice to say, I'm chuffed with my purchase.

Just need to change my front brake discs this week and I'll lose that most annoying ticking that I could hear when the windows were down.

Yep, I think my window will be down everytime I drive it come spring time.
They do compliment each other very nicely indeed.

Yes I agree when I had my 130i with pe and p airfilter they sounded lovely. I miss it now even tho I have a bigger beast. Lol

I'd be interested to see what you think on long motorway journeys as cruising speed is usually right around the 3k rev mark and the induction noise can get a bit much for me.

I have heard they can drone a bit, so I'll have to see how I get on......if anything, it'll mean we have to put miles on my mrs's car

It does have a slight drone at 80mph/3k revs... But you get used to it, either that or as twenny said, speed up a tad

To get away from the drone you either have to drive like a granny or do 90 plus.

I just settle for turning the music up....

Luckily I don't do many motorway miles and most of the time it's just me, so the noise is fine.
