Just checked the electronic catalog - is retrofit kit with dampers and springs (springs only if fitted on adaptive suspension)... Just wanna see if someone got some real life experience

Is it just warranty related reasons why you are only considering BMW Performance option as you haven't mentioned any other possibilities?

To my knowledge, no one on this forum has had it fitted... happy to be proven wrong though...

If yes, then I would just get it, especially as you have those beautiful alloys and it will look so much more in line with what a performance car should look like being on a lowered stance :D

I think when it was looked into, this was for every Fxx bar the M135i.... essentially upgrading them to M135i spec. ""We" already have 10mm lower than M-Sport ride height and bespoke dampers.

They may change this, as I think there's going to be a BMWMP lowered spring option for the M235i and we could see rollout of more stuff for the M135i at the same time.

As far as I understand it lowered by another 10mm compared to M Sport suspension on the M135i

The reason I asked is because I m bringing my car to BMW for M Perf Exhaust fitting next month and the car needs to be kept there for around 4 weeks (not for the actual fitting but thanks to the unbelievably harsh regulations on modding here in Hong Kong they need to apply for inspection and certification from the stupid transport department), so might be a good idea if I also get this chassis upgrade fitted together... We can do all this outside with local workshops but risk the fact that the car might get detention from cops :(

Even if it does fit the M135i, would you bother for the sake of 10mm?
I assume there may be other benefits e.g. improved handling and not just cosmetic...

I think I might have read somewhere that others in Hong Kong have gone third party routes e.g. Eibach, H&R so perhaps an option?

So what does the car need to reduce the roll? I'm no mechanic and am not sure of the difference between the springs, dampers and sway bars etc.

I find the M135i a bit too soft in Sport, especially compared to the 1M and would like some way of stiffening it up a bit. What is required?

Would changing the standard wheels to the M Performance ones help?

Any of the 3 items you mention will have the effect of reducing roll... More notably Spings and Anti-roll bar to a stiffer version..

If it's a problem I would personally change springs first to see if it helps and you get the added advantage of lowering the centre of gravity. I have read that Eibach springs alone is a big improvement and if you still think it rolls too much then perhaps look at thicker anti-roll bars

Are the springs, dampers and roll bars available for the adaptive suspension as well ?. Are the ones you are talking about, M Performance items or aftermarket, ie KW, Whiteline etc ?, thankyou.
Yes the likes of Eiback/H&R springs fit both passive and adaptive suspension setups. KW do there own DDC adaptive dampers and springs that are plug and play, expensive though (ÂŁ2500+). Wonder if it's the 15% stiffer kit the M235i has?

I'm sure our friendly dealers could knock some off that....
I suspect it may be closer to the Performance suspension option that the M235i will also have as an option.

I wouldn't be surprised if the LCI F2x M135i may have the stiffer springs if the public don't complain that the M235i is too stiff and harsh when it's out?

Do you have more info (link or part number) for the "springs only if fitted on adaptive suspension".
I never managed to find the springs that go with the dampers..

I will now install the Eibach anti roll kit, and want to have good lowering springs too (atm H&R is on top of my list).

Is rather hard to find the part#, try login to BMW electronic catalogue, on the left there is part list or something then u should see "Spring Table", depending on whether u select "M Performance Suspension" the part number for springs will be different...
