Found this on bimmerpost.com if anybody's interested.

M Performance Carbon Fiber/Alcantara Interior Trim Kit - BMW 51-95-5-A42-429 (guessing the RHD Pt No is the 429 as US listings show the 425 LHD)

paddleshifterz.com are listing it for G42's and for RHD. Price is Ex VAT and import duties etc - not sure what the duties would be though.
EDIT: Spoke with HMRC today and was advised 20%VAT is all that would be charged as long as packaging clearly shows coultry of origin within EU.

Paddleshifterz.com Cotswolds should be able to quote if it's available in the UK now too.

There's also talk of having to remove the ID8 screens to fit the dash trim - bit daunting until I see a video howto!

If the MY22 kit is anything to go by it'll be great quality! Almost certainly more expensive than self adhesive options but you do get a lot more for your money!

Hopefully you won't have to remove the screen though - the replacement on MY22 was straightforward and took an hour or so to complete, no screen removal though!

Ive seen the vids on the MY22 cars and it does look like a doddle (Similar to my F22). The ID8 screens are another thing though and the cutaway on the top right half of the dash trim goes right in under the Control screen. This one's LHD but I'm sure you get the idea. I'm hoping it might click forward then sort of roll upwards then out!! 🤞

FYI Cotswolds quoted £897 today. Not as bad as I expected but a bit stiff all the same!
That's a few hundred more than the MY22 version - looks like there's a chunk more carbon on the MY23 one though. Quality however is EXTREMELY good, they're weighty parts so you do get quite a lot for the money (which is good at these sort of prices!) and you'd be able to remove them easily enough if you chose too in future.

I've added several of the MP carbon parts to my last few cars and the quality has always been top notch. The ID8 version, is on the pricey side but I always factor in resale in my man maths! With previous parts, I've been very careful to preserve the originals before and during removal and then refit them when it comes time to move on. When selling the MP parts I've always managed to recoup 50-60% of my outlay, as the parts tend to be "as new". In the long run, I reckon these parts will cost me around £450ish as they tend to hold their value and can be quite sought after, especially on here.

Keeping a close eye on this thread, seems lots are happy with the quality & fitment.

Yeah I've seen that thread too. Only thing is, you'll do well to find a seller with an ID8 compatible 5 piece set in Matte Carbon for RHD! Not sure about the quality either, I know lots of folk are happy with it but I'd like to see it in the flesh myself. Or at least, close up pics where you can see how proud the overlay sits. (Lots of pics face on - I'd like to see edge on shots) I can see the attraction at the money though, just not sure it could even approach the quality of the MPerf parts - but then the MPerf parts are 4 times the price. And don't even start me on finding a matching steering wheel trim 🤪

£430 odd at the min though  but it is just gorgeous :love: You'd get the whole kit (in gloss) from Aliexpress for less!

It was a matching part for the Aliexpress kit (in Matte) I was having trouble finding. I can find the whole Aliexpress kit in Gloss, its just I much prefer the Matte for interior parts.

I have to fess up here - I've had these Gloss parts sitting in my basket on Aliexpress since getting the pricing back from Cotswolds, but just can't bring myself to pull the trigger!

Ali's price will go up significantly at the checkout – they now add the duty on the value of the items, and 20% VAT on the items + shipping + duty. Got a bit of a shock when they did it to me as it's not made overtly clear either! Can't say I'll be using the site again now that they don't let the sellers sneak stuff past customs, making it the same price as eBay with zero buyer protection...

Ah apologies - with you now!

Matte will last better than gloss - much less chance of scratching etc! Autoid do a matte stick on CF piece for the wheel - might complement the matte interior better and it's a chunk cheaper....?

Also got the gloss CF set in my AE basket! 😂

Will the 3M tape tack properly on the existing MP snake skin dash trim? Very close to pressing the button, can only be a vast improvement on the current piano black and 🐍 dash!

If its real 3M tape I'd guess it would be fine. It comes in 0.6 and 1.1mm thickness IIRC, so you could get some on amazon and add a bit more before fitting.

I have spotted a few things in the pics in that thread which would concern me though Manc. If you haven't already pulled the trigger, hang on till tomorrow when I'm at a PC and I'll DM you my concerns. I don't want to rubbish someone else's car on a public forum.

Thanks BH, I’ll hold back on the purchase. 👍

Know about the AutoID one too 😁.....you can guess I've been researching this quite a bit. Completely agree with your thoughts on the CF parts and my heart is set on the MPerf dash trims, but at £890 I'm struggling to justify another £430 for the matching wheel trim. I am considering the AutoID matte CF wheel trim but just not sure how it would match the MP trims as it looks darker in the pics I've seen.

Got the wheel trim fitted today (along with the gearknob and splitter/side blades) and it's excellent! As you say it's expensive but looks great.

Good point on mixing with the autoid carbon though - they're splitting kits now so going to get the right side dash piece when they have it in stock - hopefully it matches....

Looks fantastic!! I just love the MP dry carbon. I see you managed to track down a 50yr wheel badge too, nice finishing touch. I got one but it was nearly as elusive as the ID8 carbon trims are turning out to be! Did you go for the MP splitter and blades?

Yeah does look (and feel) great! Hopefully less risk of marking as well....

Yep splitter and blades on too!
