hi all. ordered some black kidneys off ebay. finally got around to trying to fit. got the old ones out using the Mrs small hands as mine wouldn't fit down the back of the bumper.

anyways the new ones don't fit. they're on eBay listed as suits 07 e87.

does anyone know if pre face lift and post face lift have different fitment?

Depends if there m sport grilles but yes they changed shape. Pre and also lci. But they are totally a diffrent shape so you would notice instantly. If yours are same shape then they should fit.

It would help if you could tell us what year your car is, whether it's an M-Sport or not, and confirm that it's a hatch (E87/E81)

They are for pre facelift cars. So won't fit yours .

the ad doesn't state facelift or not. I just checked year and model and was listed as compatible.

as I'm new to bmws I didn't realise the grill changed that much over the different models/years etc.

They change from 2007 onwards but some msport bumpers 2007+ still use them. You want these ones I've just fitted them to my car good quality. Ebay item number

I had this issue when replacing my front bumpers on my car which is an SE model. It's best to check the part number on your current model against the car your purchasing the grills from.

There are many variants as I thought they were all universal like yourself .

These are pre-LCI grilles and LCI grilles for M-Sport hatchbacks only. You need the rounded ones
