Does anyone have knowledge of what exactly is stored on key fobs by the iDrive system?

I know the key get scanned when booked in for any dealer work and it contains the likes of car ID, mileage, service record, etc but what else it may store?

I'm also wondering if both keys (mine & wife's) are identical with regard to info?

Is the system savvy enough to ID a key with for example a particular iDrive 'profile'?

It will definitely store your own radio presets, heater / AC settings, etc.
