M135i EWG, SAT, BCS HFC DP + MPE with JB4 - been driving about in maps 1 and 2 for this week with canflap set to open so LH tailpipe is active all the time. In comfort mode with manual shifting, exhaust note sounds v good but little or no overrun pops and bangs [not fussed about the backfires TBH].

I tried recording some commute and WOT runs with iphone but it was naff so no sound bites to share

I am really missing can flap control. I've resounded to the idea that I would only want flaps open on sport mode anyway but I cannot deny the fact that sometimes it a race to go into sport mode to blast some burbles at passers by... :lol2:

I thought you had the JB4 connect, surely you can control can flap through that?

So am I right in saying Canflaps are only ever open when in either sport or sport+ or does every mode vary?
Shins - correct sport modes - flap open all the time.

Comfort - open and closes depending rpm.

I like the throttle response of comfort with added tone of can-flap open.

No you can't it's controlled by the dash of the car as my connections are to posi tap.

When I had my Jb4 fitted to the M135i 'posi tap connected' you could control can flap by pressing the voice command button on the steering wheel.

So you're saying If I was to fit this to the M235i with the Jb4 connect this feature isn't avaiable?

Manc - correct - my JB4 canbus is wired the same as yours and canflap control is via voice button on SW.

Currently, AFAIK, JB4 Connect has nothing to do with canflap control for both M135i or M235i.
