So, how often should you clean the interior; dash, plastics, leather seats, roof lining?

Also, what products does everyone use (and best method to use it)?

I have Lederlotion for the leather, original BMW (they gave it to me). I have two options for cleaning the dash and plastic parts; Plastic Care Emulsion (original BMW) or Meguiar's Gold Class Dash & Trim Foam.

I also picked up a Meguiar's Microwipe Polishing Cloth and a Meguiar's Microwipe Dust magnet (already used to pickup dust settled on steering column, dash etc.).

I use a slightly moistured magic cloth (don't know the correct word). Works like a treat..

Good lord. I haven't got some of that Meguiars stuff. I bought the NXT Interior cleaner and it was SO greasy and left smear marks that I gave up with the interior products. I might give that one a whirl though...

I used the BMW Plastic Emulsion Spray last weekend, worked great. Has a great smell, didn't last long though. I didn't spray it directly onto the plastic parts, overspray can land on leather pieces. I sprayed it on a microwipe cloth and applied it that way. Dash looks just like it did when I bought it, no residue/film.

BMW advised me that the Plastic Emulsion Spray can be used on all (see below) plastic in the car, including woodgrain trim (not sure about aluminimum trim etc.).

By the way; DO NOT use any of the interior cleaning products on your screen (radio or navigation/tv), both BMW and Meguiar's told me this.

I forgot how much vinyl (like the dash) there is in the interior; dash, doors (all), centre storage, side ribes between the doors, centre M steering wheel, sun visors. Add to that all the other plastic and it took a good 30 minutes.

There is also another BMW Interior cleaner as well, haven't tried it yet though.

However, when i fist got my car used the bmw stuff as this was part of my "free gift". Cleaned the car this weekend and well will have to do something about the interior as its beging to resemble an ashtray.

my rear seat is dirty but my experiences with cleaners are bad...
could i try with water and neutral soap?
