All,

I'm currently going through the process of speccing up an LCI 120i in alpine white to replace my pre-lci 116d. As all the brochures show the upgraded screen, I was wondering if anyone has the new version without the upgrade and could tell me if the awful plastic screen surround has now been upgraded to glass?

Granted, it's not quite as bad as the screen on the F30 but it's very nearly equal. While I'm on the subject, have they sorted the f30 screen in it's LCI changes?

Nav now comes as standard so you still get the same size display as the pre-lci but yes it doesn't have the plastic surround it's all glass. Correct me if im wrong please

Correct. It's not upgraded as such, it's the screen that comes with business nav which is now standard in the UK. The 'awful plastic' screen still exists in other markets

I noticed the new X1 still has the plastic surround even though Nav is standard...

What's wrong with the plastic surround. I have no nav so have the plastic trim. With the bit of chrome round it I think it looks alright

The bigger screen does look better but the updated bus nav screen with the full glass looks much better imo

Exactly that, I just think the plastic surround looks a bit naff but I guess that's just me!
