what about leds on a face lift is that possiable ???
any one know this?
anybody?????????????
Lots of rewiring back to the footwell module will be needed. Unless you want to try and hack it in using a feed from the numberplate lights or something.

The function if the reversing lights is to indicate to other motorists that you are reversing - the facelift lights do this just fine. If you are looking for reversing lights which light up the area behind you then no - these do not help with this at all.

Is there a howto for making the LED work if you have xenon ?
As this question asks... I have an '05 pre facelift WITH factory Xenons... Can I fit LED F/L rear lights or just the standard ones only, and if so, is the guide here the same for my car?

Thanks
Dave
your prefacelift with xenons can use the LED F/L with the BMW retrofit kit (check realoem.com for the partnumber). or you can follow the above HOWTO to install the F/L lights and use this DIY to turn on the LEDs: () but you will have to code the halogen sidelights off.

I appear to be missing the facelift bulb holders with mine. Did all yours come with this or did you source them?

They come complete with bulbholders when you buy them new. When I get my Darklines I will send you the holders down.

They are new and odd they arent there :( Will contact them to find out the crack!

Considered getting my hacksaw out and making them fit but best not :lol2:

Pre facelift standards back on.

I bought mine second hand and they came with the bulb holders. It should be possible to buy the bulb holders separately, they should cost around ÂŁ40 a set. Be advised that RealOEM shows two different types of bulb holders for the FL-versions. I don't know what the differences are, so get your dealer to find the correct ones.

Yeah i found that problem on realoem today :( I will talk to the supplier tomorrow and see whats what.

They looked so cool too :( :)

Thankx for the how to  was baffled why it was all over the place when using diffewrent lights.

It was nice & easy to do, as for the male not fitting in to the female :) i just cut the little peace of plastic that go in the way & the bolts not fitting i just removed the screws from the old light & screw them in to the new light :)

P.s cheers marco for pointing me in the correct direction

so i followed this guide. my facelift lights work and look perfect. but my car battery was drained after two days... woke up and there was litrally zero power left in the battery.. the car wouldnt even unlock.
If the lights aren't on, no errors showing and nothing getting warm, then it can't be the lights.

How old is the battery?
