They'll be trying to sell it as a "future classic" with that mileage; someone with too much money and not enough willingness to enjoy it properly will buy it and stick it in a bubble. Sad really.

My friends dad has one with only 4k miles on the clock :D :D
WTF is the point of having something like that and not using it. I really cannot get inside the heads of people who waste cars like that. Hope you friend borrows the keys and makes the most of it :lol2:

I know, I don't understand either! He collects classic cars, and cars that will become future classics. It just sits in storage :lol2:

I think that dealer is single-handedly pushing up the values of the CSL! He had one up for £75,000 not long ago, unsure if it is still for sale but at least the wheel and pedals were in the right place. I know someone who has kept one in a bubble since new and still has less than 10,000 miles and it makes my blood boil

Forgive my ignorance but what is so special about the CSL?

Is it just additional weight saving?

I think it is one of those cars that are 'greater than the sum of it's parts'. One of the best track orientated road cars made. On face value it just looks like a louder, more uncomfortable, less practical M3..

I have now read up on it - which I probably should have done in the first place.

Lots of carbon, more horsepower and a sequential box seem to be the main advantages.

Certainly they are the tangible upgrades. The saddest thing is that these cars make most sense on a track but it looks like most that are being bought now will never see more than a gentle jaunt in an urban area or on the back of trailer going to a show
