I think its quote a common issue.
Completely agree with Paul here, my father has a large Naim system attached to Kef Reference 207's and 205's. When nothing is being played but the system is powered on there is a slight hiss from them, but as soon as they receive an input the hiss stops. My HK hisses. The little Denon HiFi in the bedroom hisses when the tone controls are used. Every high end valve amplifier has a type of hiss called "tube rush". A lot of high end solid state amplifiers like all Naim amps have terrible transformer hum. These are HiFi's that cost more than any BMW.
My only suggestion is to forget it. That's what I have done because once in the move I just can't hear it and it has no effect on the audio / sound quality.
Just saying. Not being horrible.
