So after all the coding work that's been done on my car recently it appears as though the microphone for my handsfree has stopped working.

I can't see that changing the audio outputs to optical would have caused any issues but obviously wouldn't rule it out. I have also added the enhanced bluetooth coding as well, which works fine but would this mute the microphone or anything like that?

Anyone seen anything similar??

Anyone seen this before?

I've now tried with some other devices and get audio every time but nothing coming through the microphone at all. So looks like bluetooth is working. Checked all the cables into the bluetooth unit and they're all fine (I'd expect to get no audio at all if this was the case anyway).

The only thing i get that might be a clue is a "SOS failure" error message on startup and my online apps don't work but this has been the same since I had the battery off while installing amp etc.

did you disconnect the combox - do you even have a combox?

If you d, then the mic wiring is taken from there, if you have HU_ENTRY (without combox) or NBT then the mic wiring is in the quadlock at the head unit. I suspect its a coding issue.
Yeah, that's the unit in the boot isn' t it? The audio from the call still works, it's just there's no audio the other way around. My thoughts were that the connector would have been part of the loom somewhere so wouldn't be the sort of thing you'd disconnect accidentally.

Do you mean the optical ring?

So you can hear the sound on a phone call but the mic is goosed?

When you added EBT did you code the Media ecu?
Yeah, i can hear the other person speaking but the mic is dead, almost like it's muted. All the voice control options don't work either.

I think we just changed the code to 6NS. I can't remember exactly and can't check at the moment as my friend with e-sys isn't around for a while now. I've actually bought an enet cable but haven't got the software or data to do it.

So finally got round to getting e-sys setup and working. Had a quick play and can see that the 6NS VO is there. Tried changing it back to 6NH, hitting code to the HU_NBT2 ecu and not on the cafd etc. It then re-enabled the old audio system settings until i then hit code FDL on the cafd file. The audio settings that i had to change to get the most output working stayed the same in the cafd but obviously needed to be re-applied (is that normal??).
After all this i still had no microphone for bluetooth working. Changed it back to 6NS, re-coded and then hit code FDL again and still no microphone working :(.

Any other ideas? I'm pretty new to using e-sys so is there any sort of diags i can run through it?
