Goodyear eagle asymmetric rears shot in just 7k

As per title I've gone through a set of rears in 7000 miles without going anywhere near a track :censored2:

Went for the goodyears because super sports were completely out off stock last year when mine needed replacing and i'ed been impressed with them on a cooper s and z4 beforehand.

On the plus side they are a lot quieter than supersports, were over £100 cheaper for the set and don't flick grit up the sides which was a real issue with the supersports and spacers. They are also lovely and progressive when sliding the rear (as I do often) but I think they are now struggling with the power levels now my jb4 is fitted.

got a new set of supersports going on later this week and hopefully I'll get nearer to the 16 k I got out of the 1st set.

Moho

Good effort - lunching a set of rears after just 7k.

Browny has bought some new Mich PS4 but 255 wide for his rears - will be interesting to hear his opinions v 245 PSSs

Gotta love FWD HH's - Renault 5 turbo mark 1 - front tyres 3k miles, clutch at 5.5k. 1.4 l engine never used a drop of oil - yeeehaa
It's been an expensive day all in.

Just paid my insurance renewal £400 odd quid

Picked up new brake pads and sensors all round from sytner Sutton Coldfield for £260 and (who beat Cotswold bmw s quote by a few quid incidentally) and f1 auto centres are fitting them for £40 at the same time as my new supersports tyres :p

And ordered 2 new Michelin supersports rears online from f1 auto centres for £272 which was the best price I could find anywhere by quite a few £££££.

So just over a grand spunked on my m lite today!!!! That what happens when you have a day off work lol
Bp - yeah definatley good going but bloody expensive.

Mind you I've had fun today in map 5 with the traction control off trying to finish the rears and brakes completely before new ones are fitted on Friday.

I've realised the limits of my talent though when I nearly ditched it down a dry ( private ) slip road in 3rd in a straight line!!!! Real heart in the mouth moment and I only just caught it......

That's why I usually leave it in sport plus - think I need a lsd like you blind Pugh ...... Or more skill lol.
Depends how you drive.... Being a slow (116i) 1 series, my good years lasted over 18K with the odd spirited drive

Moho - wow - your have access to a slip road on private land. Top man - jealous of your playground.

Can I bring my car to your place and show you the benefits of an LSD ? :)

Show me Dave!
Browny,

Sure - Early morning at a certain roundabout under the a3, very wide and well surfaced.

I tried to adopted this fine piece of circular asphalt but got stone walled by local council.

:lol2: bruhhhh
I've had the Asm2's on a couple of cars and never found them to be any where near a good as the PSS's
My fronts have done 30k miles of "keen" driving and are still legal and OK with the wet and cold
I found the Asm2's to go off earlier before they hit the wear indicators
