Bought my storm bay grey M135i on 24th March 2020. Had tech pack, plus pack, comfort pack and sunroof. Lockdown hit and still not back in the office, so only done 7949 miles.
Put the car for sale on carwow, and delighted that I've accepted an offer of 33950.
With the discount available when I bought, it's cost me 2.5k in 27 months.
I'll wait however long it takes for sensible prices before I buy another car, but for now I'm going to just run my 2003 mark1 audi s3 I bought in March.
Steve.

That's a good return and cheap motoring.

The problem is that cars may never return to over supply and large discounts, as manufacturers such as BMW, Mercedes, etc have found that profits have increased by concentrating on supplying fewer higher margin cars. The other factor is that inflation is pushing car prices higher than wages are rising, so how much is todays £40k car going to be in 2-3 years time.
