Thought I'd give the E88 the once over. Wanted to take the engine cover off and look underneath. Undid the two bolts on top at the front but there was something holding it down towards the back. Had a quick look on the forum which suggested pulling It forward, this didn't work. Had a hunt around the back, could just about get my fingers in there, half the engine is under the bulkhead. Found an indentation in the middle and what felt like a screw head. Trouble is I couldn't get any tool in there. Managed to lose 2 x 5 mm Allen keys then gave up!
There must be a way to undo it, so what's the secret??

No screw fixings on mine either :?: . Lifts up at the front and then slides forward :?:

Yes, that's the one I can feel but what can you use to undo it, there's no clearance at all from the top of the bulkhead?
Think the diesel pulls forward but the petrol one is screwed down.

Just remove the bulkhead.

Did toy with the idea of a big drill
I thought there might be some sort of access hole on the scuttle so I removed the pollen filter but no joy.

There the same on the x5 I did what you said drill the edge off then it comes out. Unless it's a 2 hour job just to get cover off.

Thought you were joking but looking at that post it does look like it can be removed. Will have another go over the weekend, thanks
