Hi Guys

Has anyone removed their front plate and plate mount?

Just wondering as I have seen a few US spec M235i's and I think it improves the front look of the car.

Took my plate off this evening and saw there were some drill holes (see pic). Anyone got theirs repaired and repainted?

I would like a vinyl front plate ideally.

Sorry by you saying why would you mess with the legal registration plate it suggests you thought it was going to be illegal, my bad!

I took my plates off the weekend, to find the number plates screwed directly into the bumper, leaving holes in it! I've gone for carbon pressed plates which I think give the car a more cleaner look....

because the front end would look smoother by removing the front plate mount, bulky black plastic mount on a white car .

Yes they are a bit excessive, hence why I might get then filled and resprayed

Newbie question here, how do you get the black plastic mount behind the plate off? Really want to get rid of it too and go for flush plates like above, as a pain when cleaning

Mines screwed straight on, no mount...

Guess if you want a vinayl one, if you remove the screw holes, get a countersink tool and remove the burs from the screw holes, your vinayl one will cover them up fine.
