Just kidding, I had a question and no one looked at my topic when posted in the proper section :( I had my 123d remapped last week and I did notice that the turbos are running louder from mid-range onwards. Is this normal? I'd appreciate if you could confirm whether this is normal or not as I don't want to blow up my turbos

Louder? In what way? Give us more to go on.

When I hit around 3k revs, there's a noticeable whooshing sound. It's not a whistle by any means, so no turbo problems. I'll try and record it tomorrow

Could be just more air being sucked in, do you have an uprated filter at all? I've noticed it on my 123, albeit with a really crap remap on it by a previous owner! The intake 'suck' (lol) is very pronounced

Nope, standard air filter (which is more than enough for the job imo)

The remap has transformed the car though, it's a weapon now

Remap = more boost = more noise. No?

Air flow is increased when boost is increased so yes there will be more suction sound. If you hear a whining noise or sounds like a police siren whirring then you should be worried. To me it sounds like a normal mapped car so don't be paranoid :)
