Ok so loving my LCI. I made the right decision to swap. 2 things annoying me though so checking here for fix.

I drive with my fans on screen, to stop misting, on lowest blow. When i turn off the engine and then turn on again it resets to default on my feet and after 2 min driving my screen steams up. Its mad anoyying to have to do everytime I start the car. The pre lci used to default to last position which is what I want.

Also same with iDrive screen, I drive with the screen on journey so can view distance time consumption etc. This again defaults back to the home menu everytime I get in the car. WHYYYYY! It didnt used to do this pre LCI.

I find now when i start engine i have to press many buttons just to get it how i last had it.

Any fixes?

Set a shortcut for the trip computer or whatever you have it on, on button 8 so it's closest. Right next to the start button so not a huge faff. Don't know about the fan, mine doesn't do that

Puzzled as to why you do that with the fan. Mines on auto and never mists up, apparently it senses humidity around the windscreen and sorts it as and when.

just what ive always done. i cant see why they would program the lci to reset to blow on your feet every time your start the car, instead of leaving it set to last position like previously.

If you don't have your A/C on as well is another reason it will mist up.

rarely use A/C unless its hot, it drys my eyeballs out :eek2:
A/C isn't just for cold. And it'll be the reason your car mists up soon as I turn mine off 5 mins later it'll start to mist. It's done it on all bmws I've had.

A/C should be used all the time if the car has it I was told.

I just leave mine in auto and never have any issues at all

It's good practice, I understand, to leave the AC on all of the time. If it's left for long periods in 'off' the system gets 'sticky' as the gas lubricates the system. It saps a bit of BHP and you use more fuel with it on too but a price worth paying for what it does.

And if it's on, leave it in Auto in my view.
