I have just been refused extended warranty on my 12000 mile 2013 125d because I have done an interim oil change at 10000 miles and intend to do another at 17000 miles as the BMW oil change interval is at 24000 miles which to me is too long. No mention of that from BMW when I bought the oil and filter and asked them about adding it to the service book.

I take it the car is now approaching 3 years old hence the need to extend the warranty?

My 225d is counting down to around 18K miles before the first service.

Did they reset the service indicator and add it to the service book when you asked them to?

Wow, 12000 miles in 3 years. You would have surely been better with a petrol car?

I have a 64 plate 125d with 8000 miles on the clock and the computer is saying my service is now 4600 miles away. I can't imagine any car would make it to 24000 miles between services!

I bought it late last year with 9000 miles on it. I forgot to ask him why he did not buy a petrol one !

This might be where the problem lies. I suspect it should have been serviced on the 2nd anniversary of its first registration. If that was not done, this would invalidate any warranty. Is there any record of this service on the i Drive ?

just checked the documents and I cant find a service book. It has a 5 year service pack and just before Xmas I took it in for the brake fluid change I assumed the service book was in the wallet and they filled it in. They said nothing to me about a missed service by the previous owner better give them a call tomorrow.

Been down to Syntners and the services have been done at the correct times and are paid up to DEC 2018. They have no problem with an interim oil change using BMW supplied parts and advised me to approach the warranty people again. Lets see.
