Hello everyone, been lurking for a while but I'm now stuck.
I've got an E87 120D automatic SE that's throwing up the CCid-29 code. I've had it at a garage that I use regularly and he checked it and confirmed an issue with the accelerator pedal. I bought and installed a pedal from someone breaking an E87 on ebay. Installed it and the problem went away. Lasted a couple of days and then it came back but intermittently. I put it down to a faulty pedal again and replaced it. Same thing has happened. Works beautifully for a few days, then comes back.
I've had people tell me to disconnect the battery for a while, which I've done, and it helps but then it comes back again.
I've plugged in a Foxwell diagnostics and pulled the following codes.
3F21 DDE: Accelerator-pedal module sensor 2, signal
425D DDE: Accelerator pedal module. Plausability
4A4E DDE: Glow plug, cylinder 3 activation
4A5E DDE: Glow plug, cylinder 2 activation
4A6E DDE: Glow plug, cylinder 3 activation
4A74 LIN/BSD: message; preheating control unit, missing
4A79 LIN/BSD: message; preheating control unit, missing
Would replacing the glowplugs potentially solve this issue? or am I being too naive to think that.
Thanks in advance
Dan
