E82 Performance Exhaust question

Hello, folks - new member here! After years of wanting one, I finally bought an N55 135i DCT. Absolutely love the car! The only downside seems to be that the exhaust note is very quiet from the inside. I've been toying around with getting the performance exhaust (jeez, they're expensive!), and have found lots of vids from the outside. But, all the reviews about the sound from the inside seem to be for the F M135's. And they all seem to suggest that there's only about a 5% increase in the sound inside the car....

Now, I'm more interested in what I can hear, rather than everyone else (esp for £1000 fitted). So, I was wondering if the same was true for the E82 models, or are they louder inside? If anyone has one fitted could you let me know how much of a difference it makes inside the car, please?

Many thanks.

I have one on my n55 manual, they are louder you can defiantely hear the pops a cackles inside. I believe they are louder as you cant have the performance exhaust and ppk added at together at the dealers. Something to do with eu noise regulations
Just fitted pe exhaust to my e82 and there is a difference.I fitted backbox and pipe that deletes the resonator behind .
N55 does not have the secondary cats that the earlier n54 does,so the n55 should be louder as stock.
Cotswold BMW. Sponsor on here did a good price compared to my local dealer so savings can be made.
Exhaust is a lot louder on cold start and can be heard under throttle and downshifts whilst using paddles, but not too intrusive.
Thanks a lot, guys. Sounds positive. So you'd say the new sound was worth the price of entry? I don't want to particularly go aftermarket. I did try Cotswolds for a quote, but they came out no cheaper than two random dealers I called on the phone..... Maybe try from Germany?

Leebman 24/de are usually good.

Y pipe and BMWP exhaust is a good combo.

If you want something quite intrusive you might be better trying a Berk system. But these can be quite loud :)
Cotswolds was £775 ,my local dealer north oxford £995.
Thanks again. I'll give Leebman a try. Don't really want to go for a Berk - from what I can tell the sound outside the car is fine with the PE, it's just inside I was concerned about.

Cotswolds quoted me £800 (sorry, the £1000 I mentioned above included fitting and a couple of other things I needed), but that was also what a couple of local dealer quoted on the phone without me even asking for a discount....
