Can anyone confirm that the n55 suffers from carbon build up similar to the n54? Just sant to make sure im not throwing money at a problem that doesnt exist! Thanks

Yes, definitely. I've mentally booked my M135i in for a shot-blast at around 50k, maybe sooner if it starts losing power.

Nope, N55 doesn't suffer from this anything like as bad as the N54 what I've read, something to do with the Valvetronic on the N55 by a lot of accounts. I've seen posts on 1Addicts where 80-100k+ mileage cars have been opened up and all have had hardly any major carbon build up, unlike the N54 which are pretty gummed up by 50-60k.

Pimpin on here did 125k miles in his N55 135i in 3 years and his was OK. We have better fuel here than the septics, so less of any issue here as well.
