Anyone fitted or have any experience of said tyres?
I want to get a new set of tyres on my 216's while they're off, so I've narrowed it down to either these or PSS's.
Trouble is, along with my tyre fitting buddy, we're struggling to find and get hold of the Michelins in a 92y XL front fitment (225/40 f, 245/35 r).
He can do me a set of the Dunlops for around £400 fitted etc.
Just to add, I have ASM2's fitted currently so I'd like to try something different.
Cheers chaps.

Subscribed. I have an interest in these too, look good on paper but don't know anyone that can drive / that I trust who has a set.

They give them a good write up on tyrereviews.co.uk but a lot of people say that while they're a good grippy tyre, they wear out quite quickly.
Still, £400 isn't bad for a full set, fitted and balanced etc.

I had them on my A45 AMG from factory. They felt grippy, but I can't really compare them directly to anything else like for like.

Other people did suggest they were the worst of the tyres that AMG fitted, with the Continental tyres being much better.

They felt fine to me.

Had these on the 130i running a 255 rear and 225 front (XL's non-RFT). Fantastic tyre in my opinion with loads of grip and stability in the dry and very good in the wet too (as experienced in my trip to Birds in last Saturday's torrential rain). Also very quiet which was one of my criteria when I bought them. Have worn well and evenly. Inspired confidence in the car with great cornering, braking and accelerating performance.

Can't really comment on mileage as I have switched wheels to winters and so have no running total. £400 is good value, they were around the 600 mark when I bought them and I considered that good compared to other options at the time.

I had Goodyear Eagle F1's and Continentals before, both in RFT spec. The Conti's were OK, not as good at the GY but the Dunlop's were in a different league though perhaps the change was dominated by having ditched RFT's.

I'd definitely buy the Dunlops again

I've ran both pilot super sports and dunlop sport maxx's on a previous vehicle of mine, personally I feel the grip of the super sports is better due to them being a softer compound, but the Dunlop's did last longer, it was on an audi tt :eek2: but you still get a feel for the tyre,

Which is what I'm after, for my daily boots.

Thanks for the feedback. :)

Thanks very much for the info. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on these.

Resurrecting an old thread....
Switched back to my 216's today shod with my new Dunlops.
Very impressed with them so far, plenty of grip and they feel sure-footed when pressing on in the twisties. Oh and they're very quiet compared to my old ASM2's as well.
Anybody considering these wouldn't go far wrong.
