Went to put on my new downpipe on the M135i today, was creating a guide along the way for others to follow.

All was going well until i went to remove the lower V-clamp. The threads on the V-clamp were severely corroded to the point where i could pic the threads off the end of it. I didn't want to attempt to remove it in case i broke it all together, which is most likely going to happen as soon as i try to loosen the nut.

Anyway getting to the point... i need to buy a new V-clamp, is there anywhere online that sell them ? i need to get it delivered as i am away to Houston on Monday and wont be back until Sat afternoon.

the part number is : 18307620349

Thanks
Chris

I noticed the same thing though mine still worked as I only had the car for 3 months. My mechanic told me that this clamp will break next time when removed. Sorry no info from where this part could be bought, tried googling?

I tried many googling attempts.. I will get my friend to pick one up for me at BMW while im gone.

do not really fancy ordering from outside the UK.

Removing the clamp will not be a problem, releasing agent will do the trick but i will definitely break the thing.

Anyway once i get a new one i will continue with my DIY guide and hope it helps others :) :spotman:
