does anyone have a video showing the removal - i have found some generic ones but nothing specific to the m135. for example some show there being other screws apart from the door bar but i dont know how many exactly are on the m135.

i need to remove door card and tweeter covers and replace those

thats the thing - i have looked and cant see any screws on the door handle release (i assume its the thing you pull to open door)

there does not seem to be definite guide
The guide says:

Use T20 torx screwdriver; totally 5 screws, 2 inside door handle trim cover, 1 inside door opener cover, 2 under door trim panel.

Unscrew them all then use removal tool to release the door trim panel from some clip natur and clamps (I started from the one near door hinge), basically only have to release one clip natur, then pull the rest one by one.

You don't have to unplug anything since there's enough space for you to unscrew the speaker.
Where it says:

2 inside door handle trim cover
It means behind the trim on the door handle where you pull the door shut.

Where it says:

1 inside door opener cover
I assume it means, as you look at the side of the door with the door open, there's sometimes a flap that you can remove that houses a screw behind it like on the Audi's.

I don't think there is a screw on the door pull lever panel in the 1 Series.

Did this on my M135i last weekend.

There are 5 T20 torx to remove. 2 under the trim for the door pull - you need to remove the cover to get at them. 1 under the door catch lever - you need to remove the plastic insert behind the lever - just flicks out. The other 2 are on the bottom edge of the card - not hidden, but you need to get on your knees/back to see them.

Then it's a case of prising off the card and releasing/pulling the several clips that are along all 4 edges.

Hope this helps?

Not sure if the F21 is any different, but I doubt it. You need to get a trim removal tool under the corner that is at the "opening" end of the lever. It just flicks out - you then need to pull the lever to allow you to thread the cover off over the lever itself - which obvs stays where it is.

I'll put some photos up later if you're still struggling...
