Just did this to my front brakes and thought I'd share with you.
I bought hop-up brake adapters ages ago (from F2x 340mm discs to F8x 380mm discs) for £200, but waited until the factory discs actually needed replacing. Anyway they did recently so I finally stumped up and bought the big discs (£500, gulp!).
All fits well inside my 18" wheels with plenty of clearance.
Slightly better brake performance (although not game changing), but they look cool! And should be better at heat management on track days.

Not quite APC Racing, but a fraction of the cost. With Ferodo DS2500 pads they are great.

It's now convinced me to get the rears done too, again when the factory discs wear out (going from 345mm to 370mm).

This is interesting.. looking at doing the same only running the 370/380mm calipers from the f8x
