What's the best to get without breaking the bank? Did a search and saw that people have bought the Mini 0804 or 0805. There is also an 0806 but all 3 seem to be out of stock at the moment.

I'm after something relatively small that I can hide up near the rearview mirror so it's not something that I would physically see while driving. I was thinking of this with the hardwire kit:

Any good alternatives?

I don't have one, but am interested in the Innovv K1 (aka Koonlung K1S).
Mobius is the one. Do a search on the main forum and you'll find lots of info.

Here is mine...

How do you find the picture quality and ease of use?
Picture quality is proper 1080p and very good handling of light. Video looks great on a 55" TV.

I like the Mobius because it is fit and forget. When you need the footage, just ping out the micro sd card and pop it into a computer. If you want to get into deep settings then the software is easy to use.

There are cameras that do more but I did not want GPS speed etc. I just wanted the assurance I have footage should the worst happen and wanted it to be discrete.

Hope that helps.

That's perfect. Answers everything I had to ask you, so I'll order that one along with the hardwire kit :).

Just to confirm, I need this:

and

The site says choose your mount, suction or adhesive, what should I choose?

Anything else?

Thanks.

Thanks :).
You can currently get the Mobius with wide angle lens from Banggood.com for £45 with discount codes.

()

If you go here and register () you will receive a $5 off code.

This camera will come as standard where as if you were to buy it from carcamerashop.co.uk it would be already set-up to function as a dashcam.

Paul CS on here has print screened the settings which he is using on the Mobius so all it would be a case of doing is downloading the Mobius software and changing the settings for it to operate as a dashcam!

Downside is that it doesn't come with a long USB lead so one of these would need to be picked up!

Send Paul CS a message, he has a neat little mount available that attaches the camera by magnets.
I just bought his last one! Don't worry I think he's making more
Yeah i've been on to him. Few more weeks before he has any ready.
I bought the Snooper DVR-4HD camera, install was a pinch, cable easy to hide (although the wire does come across from front to rear at top of the front door Pillar, i was going to tuck that in, but thought against it due to the fact i dont want to risk an airbag going off) The reason I chose this is because it has speed camera warnings, why the beep is for it is not very loud it comes in handy, especially on the drive from kent to north london were you get speed cameras popping up within meters of of a sign that suddenly says 40 when you are on a normally 50 road... crafty buggers, then you can ignore the cheeky one on north circular a few minutes after joining from the a13 (counter clockwise) that is... painted white and right after a sign (about 20 meters) that says 40 on a road that is 50 for no apparent reason other than making money.. grrr
I have a couple of the Mini 0805 cameras, one front and one rear. They work really well. Good quality and very easy to hide away behind the rear view mirror
so looking at getting one so what do I need I want to get all the right bits before fitting it all thanks am not very gud with tec stuff

pics of my cam install, excuse the quality :(

The snooper DVR-4HD comes with suction mount (only bought this one for speed cam alert really, due to commute having 101 cameras... never counted them really but it is ridiculous the amount.)

Did not want to risk messing with the pillar due to airbag so across it went.

The inner trim rubber has plenty of room inside for cable without bulging out or anything which is handy.

Funny thing was after doing all this I had to hide quite a bit of power cable that was excess, simple 5 minute install, not as discrete as others but does the job i want it to do.
