Right so looking at it your car is ready for production and has Ben allocated a VIN.
Dealer has put it down as required for delivery on the 26th Feb. it will be built week of the 4/1/16. Preferred month of Jan.

As of 18/1/16 the car has been confirmed by production control and will be going into body in white soon.

No idea. When have they said you can collect. They have put on that it is required for the 26th Feb. if you've been given a 1st March delivery then depending on how quickly your dealer can do a PDI it should be ready for collection

I originally test drove an ex demo of same colour and similar spec, however new has 5% lower finance rate so I thought might as well get a new one with a few more options. I was told when I was placing the order that I should have mid Feb? Maybe it was to wheel me in as I didn't want to wait so long haha!

I don't really have a clue but thats an awful lot of info about your car you've posted there. Chassis and vin prefix - just worried that there may be enough info for some chancer to clone the car. As I say, I've no idea, but with a friend of mine having had his car stolen off the drive the other night I'm particularly conscious of this sort of thing.

7 digit serial number missing; I figured the first 10 digits are like country, make, model etc. which are publicly available information anyway.

Fair enough, I really don't know. It just struck me as a potential risk given that people are out there looking at social media sites and forums to steal or clone their next car.

As say, its probably my overly cautious state of mind following the theft of my mates car.

How long do dealers usually take to have a car ready from when it arrives on the trailers?

It's usually only a day or so as they want to get them moved on ASAP. Mine was a week from when it arrived in the UK (Wed 30th Dec) till at the dealers (Wed 6th Jan) and two days after I collected it (Fri 8th Jan ). New years day was in the middle of all that so would have been quicker. Cars arrive at either Southampton or Immingham than go to Thorne prep centre before going to the dealers.
