My M135i is due for delivery next month. V excited!
I've asked the dealer if there is a shortlist of new reg numbers for me to choose from.
His reply was:
" unfortunately the system is now an on-line automated system, so effectively we don't get the choice that we used to."
Is this how it's worked for you??

Yes, they said they had no say anymore.

Not sure if just lazy salesmen though

I am sure it depends on the dealer. Mine gave me a choice from around 20 numbers but what they have told you may well be true.

My dealer was able to give me a choice however the admin girl just assigned one to my car during the salesmans lunch before he had the chance to send me the list!!
I think it's hit and miss if they let you know or not these days!

If you check previous threads before posting you'd see this was on about three weeks ago, however, in November '14 we had a choice of any of 65 numbers from our dealer.

Just get a cheap private plate, that's what I did

I got mine registered 1st Serptember 2015 - chose my reg around 2 weeks prior, had a choice from around 60 plates from dealer.

Just going to change to my private plate
