Change Of Plan

So now the M135i Auto is officially rejected and various options discussed with the dealer and BMW (who have both been brilliant) I have ordered my replacement vehicle. I now understand the auto gear box issue and it is to do with acoustics as someone on here mentioned, that said some cars are outside of the tolerance band like mine and qualify for a replacement gearbox. Not wanting to risk another gearbox noise I've decided to go manual on the replacement car. So I've ordered a Mineral Grey 3 door M135i with coral red interior. Gone a bit mad with the options as well. Just a 2 month wait now till it arrives!!

Good choice of colour :p
I don't think it stays just acoustic issue I'm on my second car after the third replaced box went on my first M135i and now this one has got the same acoustic issue along with the sluggish rough gear change and some times on cold whilst driving off I get the kangaroo jumping now this could be down to the rattling wastegate on the turbo however i spent a whole year back and forth at my dealer with my first car, with this one i just don't have the energy to go back. But with the horrible gear changes and the most annoying rattle on the wastegate it's just a matter of time till I get to annoyed and head back again.

Yup, although it seems to be ZF footing the bill.

If you have an Auto, make sure you extend that warranty! Slush-box cars without warranty could become difficult to sell, with repairs being £8k a time.
