After seeing 5th gear last week it has got me into the mood for a proper clean for my car. I'm gonna give it the Zymol treatment. Only one problem, where is the cheapest and best place to buy? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Also i'm looking for an alloy wheel cleaning that will not ruin my split rims. Any suggestions?

Zymol, no idea, I'm looking for one in the SW, as for the wheels I have always used the Autoglym range. Whenever I hear a car cleaner taking on TV, they always recommend Autoglym...well the queen uses it. If you use the polish, make sure you use the super resin polish followed by the extra gloss perfection. Only thing I know that will diminish the swirls on my black paint. I always polish the rims as well. Anal, but satisfying.

What I thought was strange about the 5th gear article, is that he
1) washed the car in the sun
2) used a sponge rather than a lambs wool mitt

both of which are totally opposite of what everyone else advises
