Good morning all,

my car has been going in to limp mode when cold and first started. after around 5 mins I reset the code, car comes out of limp mode and code doesn't come back until next cold start.

Any ideas of what this might be.

Also I have just changed the MAF sensor so I know it isn't that and I have also had a look over the intake, turbo charge pipe and intercooler. The intercooler to intake manifold pipe has also been replaced recently.

The car has a EGR and DPF delete also.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Take it back to your tuner and tell them this. Has it happened recently after the egr and dpf delete? How long after?
Maybe a vaccuum leak?

No noticeable air leaks anywhere either...

The car has done 170k, I was thinking could it be the timing chain causing the valve timing to be slightly off and therefor causing the difference in MAF readings.

also I am getting more than usual black smoke out the exhaust. when i first had the car mapped with he DPF and EGR deleted I hardly got any black smoke.
