Ok without any scrubbing is this due to being 17's rather than 18,19's. I've also considered going for the e87 msport wheels just the m5 replicas looked really well

 

The diameter doesn't make any difference. Fitment comes down to tyre width and wheel offset.

They'll be more stanced than standard, but shouldn't rub.

 

Would I be better going with the e87 m sport wheels ??

 

The 17's should be ok if you like them. M Sport wheels could possibly be cheaper on your car insurance.

 

Think I'll opt for The e87 m sports I think it's gonna be snug on the front with the others. My current wheels run 205-45-17 on the front and the others are 225-45-17 but are also et35 it's going to be tight isn't it

 

They'd be about the maximum poke you can get away with without rubbing.

 

Can I ask advice on another set of wheels. 225-50-17 7.5J et 34 would these fit better being there only 7.5j

 

225/50/17 aren't a 1 Series size, 225/45 or 205/50 are though.

225mm at ET34 is beyond what I'd usually recommend.

Wheel width/diameter doesn't really matter, it's basically all about the tyre width and wheel offset.

It's the tyre tread that would rub on the arch, not the alloy.

 

So you would 100% think that 225-45-17 8J et35 would rub on the front or rears
