It's just a rebadged generic dashcam isn't it, not really a bona-fide BMW item? For 230 quid i think you'd be better served by a Blackvue or similar

I believe it is a rebadged Blackvue, which are pretty much the same price, however, it comes with the cabling specific for BMWs rather than messing about with Blackvue's "Power Magic Kit" (" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) or hard-wire kit (" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), which look a bit old-school basic.

Video footage looks pretty good too:
" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Another option would be the Next Base 512g (" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) which has a nice and simple wiring kit straight into the fuse box (" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;).

It seems to be a 'Mando BF100' which isn't a cheap cam either but a bit of an unknown quantity?

I can't imagine what would be BMW specific about the wiring kit, afaik the only connections to the car would be you a live and a neutral. You could mimic the Nextbase kit with a fuse tap " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; which has the benefit of being nice and cheap!

Currently looking at this one myself " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
