Just a quick post on here,

Wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction please. I bought a Bmw 116 1.6 and since about 3 month ago the engine light came on. So I got it checked out and read, and it's showing low efficiency below threshold bank one. But the car has started jumping into limp mode and not responding to the accelerator. So I've cleaned and replaced the throttle body and removed the light but after around 70 mile the same code came back.

has anyone got any ideas.

Cat isn't working

It monitors front and rear oxygen sensors caclucates if the cat is working

Does that mean replace the front or rear section of the cat ?

Without seeing your exhaust system I can't say, but it can only measure the cat that the oxygen sensors are in front of and hehind of

But at guess it would be the front cat

That's bank 1 cat 1 and you can also see (bank 1 sensor 1) and bank 1 sensor 2

You mean bank 1 sensor 2?

You can try it, it's very much a gamble until you find the fault but in my experience that code normally means cat fault
