Hi everyone..

As titled my key fob slot needs replacing.

The mechanism hasn't ever locked the key inside. Been like that for a while. So under any heavy throttle or over a hump my key flies out loool its become quite a bother now and I think I want to get it sorted..

I've pm'd cotsworld for a quote and I've had a look around eBay.. There's a few out there second hand.

1. Has anyone ever replaced there's?

2. Is it just a easy remove and replace with the part whether it's new or second hand part.

3. Is there any programming required?

So there's quite a few part numbers there..

4. My car is RHD which number would be the one most appropriate for me to be matching against.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance. :)

Plug and play. No coding but always disconnect the neutral from the battery first.

Pop out the center dash vent.

Push out the key holder

Unplug the wiring harness

Refit in reverse.
THAT WAS QUICK

Thanks mate.. That's great to know..

Any idea which part numbers I should be keeping an eye out for from the list I've posted above.

Would it be the fourth one down on the list?

Put the last digits of your VIN on REALOEM.com and see what part number(s) come up.

Mission complete problem fixed and a little how to.. I couldn't find one when I needed so why not.. Not the greatest but yeah

First remove this trim

I had to remove my stereo and heating controls so that I can access the screw that I've shown.

Heating control literally pops out and stereo was held on by two Philips screws

Pull back the trim I'm holding which will reveal these two screws are holding the ignition slot into place.. Remove them

It literally pops out after

The wire disconnects with a little tug

Reverse steps and you're done.

Thanks Very much for the instructions!! It works perfectly after replacement. Saved me a 100$$.

I didn't have to even remove the stereo or the heating controls !!
