BimmerCode will work for ID8 if you use the 3 series option. Tried it today & got rid of Volume pop-up, horn beep when locking car from outside with engine running, and added 5 flash indicators.

I don't understand the issue with coding ASS - I used the 3 series section of BimmerCode after the latest iDrive update, and it let me code "Remember Last ASS setting" in standard mode - works perfectly.

Managed to get the same changes made today. Many of the ECUs were not readable with my adaptor though and the Stop/Start memory function although readable failed to code using either the 3 series option or the i4. Shame as I'd love to set it to remember last selection. Not sure if that's adaptor specific as other options were not available but Bimmercode reported that it was unable to read the ECU in the first place. Do you mind if I ask which adaptor you are using and if you tried the Start/Stop change?

<edit> just dawned on me why the Stop/Start change didn't work under the i4 profile Doh! 🤣

I use a UniCarScan UCSI-2000 and it was able to read all the listed Controllers (although I didn’t make changes in all of them)

Should point out that it has not been confirmed if this BimmerCode G42 update works for both iDrive 7 & 8. Someone on BimmerPost has sent the developers a support request to clarify.

Is remote start an option ?

No, and I doubt it ever will be - running an car engine while vehicle unattended is ’against the rules’ in UK & Europe.
