Spent the day taking my engine bay apart to see exactly what has been modified for my supercharger set up. One thing I have noticed is that I have oil in my intake. The CCV valve which is integrated into the rocker cover on the N52 and as OEM flows into the intake plenum has now been diverted into the intake prior to the supercharger. It seems that increased blow by in BMW supercharged and even their OEM turbo applications is a regular issue. I am now planning on fitting an oil catch can in series between the CCV valve and intake. I have been reading a lot on the N54 and N55 forums to get an idea of which catch cans are considered the best for BMW applications. I think that I can modify an N54 catch can pretty easily as the CCV valve looks to be in a very similar location on the N52, I think on the N55 the CCV valve is at the front of the rocker cover. From a little research it looks like the two best catch cans are the BMS and Mishimoto:

BMS:
" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Mishimoto:
" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Do people have any experience with either of these products, opinions on which is best or suggestions of other catch cans to look at? Is there anywhere in the UK to buy the BMS catch can or do you have to order from the US? Thanks everyone

If it's purely blow by and you're not worried about restriction the mishimoto is proving to be one of the best.
N54 users are nearly filling the can in 3 weeks. Very fine tolerance filter catching oil and water vapour. You're looking at around £100 for one on eBay.

Thanks for the reply, so is the Mishimoto can restrictive compared to others? My goal is to remove blow by oil in the intake but I do not want to pressurise the block. I was pretty shocked by how much there was after about only a thousand miles! The supercharger is only running 7.5psi max boost.

Because of space restraints and where the current PCV line runs I think I will have to try to locate the catch can on the suspension brace like the N54 BMS catch can. The positives for the BMS can is it comes with everything to fit in that location, the downside is the price buying from the States! The Mishimoto can is only £80 plus VAT on the Mishimoto website but I would then have to buy clips, additional tubing and fabricate some sort of mount.
