My car has occasionally been suffering from a light ticking noise when cold for around 20 seconds which then disappears.

I have spotted this which looks like it might be a crack in the exhaust manifold. I cannot tell for sure though whether it is a crack or just a line where it has been cast.

What do you guys think? The car is under warranty at the moment so if it is cracked I will need to get it looked at ASAP

I cannot find any other references anywhere with regard to B58 manifolds on the net so it doesn't look like it is a common issue, and when my old Fiat coupe manifold cracked it was much more obvious than this...

Sure looks like a crack ! only thing i can come up with is a smear of exhaust paste and see if it blows.

I had a look this morning, it doesn't appear to be leaking if it is a crack. I put soapy water on it when it was cold and started the engine. No bubbles.

I think it is just a flaw in the casting.
