Hi Guys ,

As per title really , new car due first of March and I've Specced Oyster Leather which I'm happy with but also specced the fine wood trim , not completely sure about this as I've never seen one with it fitted,

Just wondered if anyone else has this combo or thoughts ?

Worse case scenario I could always swap it .

Pics would be great :)

Thanks

Thanks for that barney ...

I think in the new 1&2 now they only have the oyster leather on seats and door cards and not an overload of cream trim .
Think that's why it's called oyster /black.
Just been trying to find pick online of 2er rhd oyster /black + fine wood trim , need to have a better search on net .

Thanks for that link .... Yeah the top pic is what you get in the 2 and I'm really happy with it that ...think the black contrast breaks it up nicely.
If it was full oyster wouldn't have bothered.

We have that combo in our Estoril Blue and have no regrets. Indeed the above picture is our car! Looks fantastic (but we are bias). That said it probably isn't the best choice with every colour. With Space Grey for example I would go brushed aluminium.

Tell me about it. I've been over the order a dozen times in the last week. I went for Estoril Blue, brushed aluminium with piano black stripe. I would have liked a couple more options but it quickly mounts up and it's too late now anyway.

There's at least another 7 weeks until it arrives... the waiting is killing me!

I'vr changes my spec 3 times with the dealer after I placed my order!

Started with Estoril Blue

Called the dealer and added M Sport suspension and folding mirrors.

Then I called back a third time and change to Valencia Orange and Oyster leather

Now I keep wanting for that bigger pro nav screen. Problem is its close to £20 a month difference and nothing else but the bigger screen really sells it to me.

Pro nav gets free map updates for three years plus the split screen is so much better, 20gb hard drive to store music. I regretted not getting it on my JCW. You know you want to add it....

So much better how? Any examples as to how it clearly wins over the standard business nav?

For me the connected services are pointless. I don't need to flash my lights nor do I want to blow ambient air around the car.

I liked the idea of being able to track down your car, but there's a max working radius of like 15 miles or something? Was thinking if it ever got stolen, but not really suitable for that.

I just think it is much better to look at and navigation is apparently better, 20gb hard drive, concierge service is good. It is a lot more but I think it is worth the additional spend on a £30k ish car. I tried both in showroom when ordering M135i and decided I would regret not getting as I did with JCW

To look at I absolutely agree with you. Really adds an extra dimension to the dash and gives a much nicer feel inside.

Still, the 20gb storage isnt of use to me. I've a spare 500GB SSD lying around that can sit noise free under the armrest.

If I could preheat the front seats, deal, if half the additional services (Spotify etc) worked with Android, deal.

It's so close but nothing amazing. £900 for a few extra inches of screen real estate isn't worth it. I could buy a whole new top-spec 42" OLED TV for that cash!

With an iPhone, yes. No worries there. :)

You van do the same with Android, but you won't be able to control the Spotify app via the car. You'll have to skip tracks etc via the phone and just steam over BT

I think the oyster looks so much better, personally - hence why I've got it in mine. All black interiors to me are too depressing. But each to their own, everyone has different tastes (thankfully), main thing is that you enjoy it. I don't have the fine wood trim in mine, so no pics of that sorry.

Enjoy the car!
