Hello!

A few months back got my 1er and it had a Parrot ck3000 hands free kit installed in the glovebox but there was no microphone in the car so I have brought a microphone for it to plug in and fit it!

I have found the parrot box that has been mounted underneath a plastic panel under the glovebox in the passenger footwell. Now it looks like the 3.5mm microphone Jack is already in the box which is strange but i cannot get the box out has there is a couple of connector blocks in the way. See pictured below (as best I could);

My question is can I remove the blue connector block so I can get the blue parrot box out. If so should I disconnect the battery first (will I lose any coding disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes)

Any help would be appreciated thank you!

That is your junction box control module. Yes Disconnect your battery then turn your headlights on to drain any power left. Then Disconnect the connector. The module controls everything in your car and an be spiked easily trust me I have done it. But you be Ok just disconnect negative battery terminal first. You will not loose no coding just have to put correct time in dash that's it's.

No frm is your lights control module. This is the jbe control module basically it's like the motherboard in a laptop it's connected to everything in your car and runs everything. It is plugged into to your fuse panel so every fuse in your panel is connected to this. :eek2:

Have a look at your front interior light unit. You will see a slotted hole. Shine a torch and see if you can see anything because that is where the FISCON microphone fits like the OEM one. Previous owner may have removed the Parrot one and fitted the Fiscon one.

Cannot see anything visible and nothing picks up my sound when the parrot is connected to my phone so bit strange how the microphone is plugged in to the unit but I cannot find it and no sound is picked up

Have you checked behind drivers front window pillow. There is a airbag plastic badge remove it there is a torx screw behind it undo it and push up and pull it will come out. Bet microphone has fell behind there
Should I be only doing this with the battery disconnected? Don't really want the airbag going off in my face haha

Removed old severed microphone cable this afternoon and replaced the microphone, went up through passenger side a pillar and mounted on the wing mirror slightly out of eye sight tested and all is working well with the £15 for the microphone to get this working again! Thanks for everyone's help!
