My cars due for delivery to the dealer 1st week in feb.

Ive been told it wont make any difference to the final value (of a PCP deal) weather I have it registered 1st week of feb on a 65 plate or 1st march on a 16. (My private plate will be going on anyway)

How can it not make a difference?
Unless the GFV is for a 15 plate, and theyre hoping ill wait, and they get a newer car at the end...

Thoughts?
Should I wait, or not?

I wouldn't give a rat's ass. If we didn't have age related plates, it wouldn't matter. So why should it matter?

As a buyer, I look at year and spec milestones. I wouldn't choose a car with 4 weeks difference for the plate.

If you've got your private plate on who cares?

Just get the car, put your plate on and enjoy it!
I wouldn't have my car sat around in a dealers car park for a month just to have a different number on a plate that I will be taking off anyway.
Value of car is based on age relating to when the car was built.

I have a nice plate to go on mine but have held off because I want the neighbours to know I have "65" plate
And the jealous-scrotey types (well, the ones who have the brain capacity to decipher what '65 means) will appreciate the newness too #keyed

Lol - the last scrote that came close to my car ended up getting chased down the road by my Dogue-de-Borduex ; I don't really have to worry about jealous scrotes :sterb:

Conversely, I'd wait.

It might not make any difference to the GFV, but one day you might buy it and one day after that, you might sell it.

In my mind it might make you back a few quid come sale time but more importantly, if there are two identical cars, one being a Feb 2016 and the other being a March 2016, the March 2016 will be chosen.
