Hello!

I've purchased some used 340mm 4 pot brembos (the blue msport marked ones) from an M135i and decided to scan the qr code, has anyone done this before?

I tried it with the brembo check app and it came back with it being invalid and a fake code and not to install them, but I have had the same happen with a couple of pictures of them I have found online too

Does anyone know about this? If I've bought fake calipers I would want to return them!

Thanks

The QR codes aren't for customer reference, they are used as part of the production process for "scan to fit" and manufacturer traceability.

If you scan them with a generic QR scanning app you will probably find info on the caliper serial number etc.

So you mean with BMW? I spoke to the chap in my local dealer in the parts department and he was clueless, said they didn't use QR codes or scanners...

Production facility level, not dealer level...
