Evening guys, thought I would share my experience with a breakers yard, my local bmw wanted £500+ for a new manifold for my 123d, saw a breakers online where they quoted me £90 with 3 month guarentee, came off a 08 123d with 40k miles on it, arrived today in a disgusting state, loads of black carbon on it that looks like its done over 100k miles, 1 swirlflap missing and the other one at the bottom of the box, absolutely fuming, can't wait to ring them in the morning.

Once you get your money back try Quarry Motors in Sheffield.

I got a DPF from them for £250 plus £8 postage.

The part was clean & even came with the 2 sensors on already. Can't fault them.
I find Quarry Motors to be rude, expensive and disinterested. I wouldn't recommend them personally.

The only photo I have at the moment. Will get more when I finish work
If that's only done 40,000 miles the previous owner must have been running it on recycled chipshop oil and charcoal nuggets.
Chipshop oil and charcoal nuggets. Hahaha that made me chuckle. Looks like it's been used for filling potholes!!
