Hi everyone,
on the hottest day of the year, I found out that the aircon was not working in my car. I have dual zone climate control. I have found that it doesnt look like the compressor clutch is engaging. I've checked the fuses behind the glove box but can not find a relay to see if its not switching etc. Is it controlled by a control unit now rather than a Relay? if so how can I diagnose the fault and is there good places or areas to check?

Thanks in advance

The compressor will not engage if the gas pressure is too low. For a complete diagnosis you will need ISTA+ which will identify the errors and enable tests to be run. The most likely cause is loss of pressure in the system. The cheapest way to resolve this is to get an ATS Groupon code for Aircon re-pressurisation £37.99). This will drain any existing gas and oil content and refill with the correct volumes of each. Likely cause could just be loss of pressure over time or failure of the condenser.
