Hi everyone,

Hoping to get some information on a issue i came across today, i had the Diff oil changed on my car a few days ago (not sure if linked) but since having this done im getting a clicking/rattle type sound coming from the rear whenever i accelerate and when i come off the gas pedal. A clicking sound when stepping on the gas suddenly and a clicking sound when releasing the accelerator suddenly.
The car still seems to be driving perfectly fine, any ideas what it could be? Car has done 76k.

Also just want to add, this noise doesnt happen when the car is stationary or not in gear and i press on the throttle,

Thanks

That will be the flap in the exhaust , do the golf tee mod and it will cease ( search golf tee mod )

If its just 1 click as you get on and off the accelerator then probably the exhaust flap opening and closing as mentioned above, however if its a constant clicking changing with road speed its probably not the case and then I would be having a look under to see if anything has been moved/bent and could be touching prop shaft or driveshafts etc.

This has been the case with my car too. Albeit not a 130i :lol2:

I've never really got it diagnosed cause the car drives normal. Just under acceleration a 'click' from the rear :?
